rukus! and Outburst UK are pleased to welcome the celebrated international writer, Steven G. Fulwood. Steven has been an archivist at the Schomburg Centre for Research in Black Culture in New York City since 1998, and has been the project director of the Hip-Hop Archive Project since 2001.
He is also the founder and project director for the Black Gay and Lesbian Archive at the Schomburg Centre.
Fullwood is also the author of Funny, co-editor of Think Again, and the founder and publisher at Vintage Entity Press. For over a decade, Steven has been a freelance writer whose work has appeared in various publications including Library Journal, Black Issues Book Review, XXL, Vibe, and Lambda Book Report. In 2005 Fullwood was honoured with a New York Times Librarian Award. This is a rare opportunity to hear this U.S. based writer discuss his ideas and observations.
